Thank You Winnona Park Community!
The 2019-2020 school year was certainly one to remember! The PTA appreciates each and every one of the students, teachers, and parents who volunteered their time to ensure that our events, committees, and initiatives were a resounding success this year. Please take a look at this year’s WPES Impact Report for a quick snapshot of just some of the ways your generous support of the PTA helped us to build a better school and community in 2019-2020.
Winnona Park definitely rocks!
Congratulations and Farewell to our Second Grade Class of 2020!

About Pre-Ordering: The PTA has once again partnered with 1st Day School Supplies to make shopping for school supplies for the upcoming school year at Winnona Park easy. This service is optional for parents—you do not have to order your child’s supplies through 1st Day—but all pricing is very competitive, each kit contains the exact supplies requested by our Winnona Park teachers, and your school supply purchase will be done! Please note that there is an option to purchase additional kits to donate to the school if you would like to do so. Each child will have access to all necessary supplies in the classroom.
Don’t Want to Pre-Order? If you prefer to purchase school supplies on your own, the same supply lists are available HERE.
Have a rising third grader? If your child is headed to third grade at Talley or Fave next year, please see each school's PTO website for school supply information. You can also find Talley and Fave school supply information via Facebook; each school's PTO has a Facebook page with lots of information that will help with your child's transition to upper elementary!

What We DoThe PTA works to enhance the educational experience of all WPES students by supporting teachers and staff, organizing fundraisers for items not covered by the school budget, and planning and hosting community-building events. Our main fundraising events are the Read-a-Thon, Jingle Jog/Holiday Tree & Candle Sale, and the Spring Auction. Through our fundraising efforts, we support many offerings and initiatives including classroom libraries, teacher and parent grants, field trips and guest speakers for all students, facility enhancements, and various community-building events.
Who We AreThe Winnona Park PTA includes families and teachers affiliated with Winnona Park Elementary School, working together to build community through school events, committees, and initiatives. We elect a Board made up of WPES parents, along with our Principal, Ruth Scott, and several teacher representatives. The Board meets once a month to discuss upcoming events, goals, needs, and concerns raised in the WP community.
If you’d like to attend a PTA Board meeting to bring up an idea or a fundraising opportunity, please contact the PTA Board.
