Below you will find information about our upcoming auction. If you are new to WPE or this is your first year participating, please take a moment to review.
1. Why am I seeing information about an online auction and a silent auction? Are they the same?
Our Spring Auction fundraiser is split into two parts, an online auction and a silent auction. We do this so that people who aren’t able to make it to the silent auction can still help support the school. We take the donations that we’ve received and divide them up between the two auctions. The online auction is free for anyone to participate in and will run during the week prior to the silent auction event. The silent auction is a ticketed, one-night, adults only event. It’s a chance for you to have a night out, eat and drink with friends, and get some great deals.
2. How do I bid on items?
For both auctions, we use SilentAuction Pro online bidding. To bid, you will need to register on our auction site. The login and password you create will allow you to bid in both auctions. (If you participated in last year’s auction, the same login credentials can be used.) To register, go to (add link) and click on the “Register” button at the top of the page. Bidding can be done on a computer or mobile device. Make sure you bring your charged phone or iPad to the silent auction!
3. How do I pay for and get my items?
At the silent auction, we will have checkout tables where you will be able to pay with cash/check or a credit card. Once you’ve paid, you can collect your items and take them home with you.
4. I volunteered for a shift. How do I get my free ticket?
A list of all volunteers will be at the check-in table. You don’t need to have a physical ticket.
5. What if I still have questions?
If you still have questions, please contact Arlene Cauthorn at firstname.lastname@example.org or 404-775-6530. We will also have helpers at the silent auction in case you’re having trouble.
